Coworking spaces across Brazil to celebrate 10 years of coworking with free workshops, activities and day passes

On Friday, August 7, 2015, nearly 100 coworking spaces in more than 16 Brazilian states and the capital will participate in Coworking Day Brazil to celebrate the tenth anniversary of coworking.

Coworking began in Brazil shortly after the concept originated in the U.S. when Brad Neuberg opened Spiral Muse in San Francisco, CA, in 2005.  Since then, it’s grown across Brazil; there are spaces now in every state. The number of coworking spaces has grown 40% in just the past year according to Brazil’s recent coworking census.

Sharing EC, the Brazil-based organizer of the event, has created a comprehensive platform to support the growth of coworking in the country and promote coworking in general. According to the organizers of the event, “This year we have more to support the participating spaces and the interested public.”

Neuberg and Brazilian coworking leaders are helping promote the event with YouTube videos and the hashtag #coworkingdaybr.

All spaces participating in Coworking Day 2015 are offering a day of free coworking on Friday, August 7, and some will also offer workshops and host food trucks. Secure a free pass to the space of your choice at www.coworkingday.com.br.
